Thank you for your interest in Columbia University's School of the Arts. We hope you will join us for our All-School Information Session on
Sunday, November 15th, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am. Please fill out the form below to register.
The information session will be held in the Lantern space on the 8th floor of the Lenfest Center for the Arts, where lunch will be served. Faculty, staff, and current MFA students will be present to discuss your program of interest and answer all the questions you might have. If you cannot attend the event in person, the panel portion will be live-streamed and will be emailed to you a few days after the session. There will be a screening of student work following the information session for in-person attendees; attendance is not mandatory but strongly encouraged.
In addition to the Admissions festivities, you may also choose to attend the following to experience student work firsthand. All events will be held between Prentis Hall and the Lenfest Center for the Arts.
Open Studios
The second-year students invite all in-person prospective students to Open Studios, happening at Prentis Hall starting at 2 pm
Film Screening
Located in the Katharina Otto-Bernstein Screening Room on the second floor, please join the Film program for a screening of select student films
Acting Thesis Production of Practice
Join the third-year acting students for a production of
Practice. It takes grit, determination, self-awareness, and years of training to be an artist. But what does it take to be a genius? A scathing, intricately observed take on power and surrender, Nazareth Hassan's new play follows a company of dedicated actors, dancers, and performance artists as they lose themselves to the violent and beautiful will of a visionary.
If you have any questions, please email the Office of Admissions at
